Britain's leader is expected to urge partner nations to deliver Ukrainian forces with additional extended-range weaponry to target Russian targets during a meeting in the UK capital on the upcoming Friday.

Sir Keir is set to welcome President Volodymyr Zelensky alongside the so-called "group of committed partners", comprising over twenty of Kyiv's partners who have pledged to provide Ukraine defense assurances once hostilities pause is brokered.

Zelensky has been urging for several weeks for more extended-range systems from Western nations, a step that the Russian government has warned would worsen the hostilities.

Ukraine's leader is coming from Belgium, where he held talks with European Union officials on the previous day seeking financial support.

Sir Keir will press participants to increase the delivery of extended-range systems following a successful strike on a chemical plant in the Bryansk region, Russia, using UK-provided missile systems.
